Vector graphics, animations, videos, sounds by John Park

Vector graphics do not store data in the form of pixels which also allows vector sounds and videos to be scaled to any size. Vector applications utilize mathematical formulas for storing information regarding a sound, image, video, animation etc. As vector does not require pixels for storing the data, it makes possible for the stored data to be scaled to various sizes without modifying the quality or resolution of the image. Vector graphics are ideal for instances where scaling of images is required. The perseverance of image quality on scaling is not possible of pixel image or bitmap image which has given vector graphics an upper hand. Vector art is ideal for printing, for example, a vector logo design can be printed on a business card and then enlarged to be printed for billboard and still it would not loose its quality. In comparison, raster graphics or pixel graphics would in turn become excessively disoriented when printed from business card to billboard size.
